218 millions for Loznica

On Wednesday, September 24, 2008, Loznica was visited by Dejan Jovanovic, State Secretary for Regional Development  and Goran Dzafic, Manager of the SME Development Agency.
"Our priority is resumption of the implementation of the projects in the field of development of public and economic infrastructure and enhancing entrepreneurship in all regions of Serbia. One of the funding sources will be European, i.e. the funds secured by donor agencies from one side and from the other side local budget lines and funding from some ministries", said Jovanovic.
According to him, the Ministry allocated over 218 millions of dinars for funding of Loznica projects in this year. The most important among them is Industrial zone "Sepak" and others are streets with required infrastructure, the project for which 30 millions of dinars was designated by the National Investment Program, setting up of main sewer in Loznicko polje and Klupci, with the overall value of works exceeding 103 millions of dinars.
He added  that priorities for the next year would be reviewed together with city leadership so that, in cooperation with Ministry for NIP and donor agencies, they could be implemented  in order to accomplish goals - further improvement of living conditions, employment and living standard in Loznica.
Goran Dzafic, Manager of the Republic Agency for SME Development, said that the major problems for the entrepreneurs or start up businessmen are financial resources secured by the Agency through start-up credit lines. This year, eight companies in Loznica received 2,5 millions of dinars.
The Mayor Vidoje Petrovic expressed his conviction  that Loznica has accomplished "exceptional cooperation" with Ministry of Economics and Regional Development,  started  several very important projects in the past period and  enjoyed substantial  support and cooperation with SME Development Agency.
Jovanovic and Dzafic visited construction sites  of the Industrial zone "Sepak" as well as ethno-village in Tronosa under construction, the owner of which was awarded start-up credit.
